Our Story
Mahjong deserves better than beige.
The Mahjong World started with a simple observation: mahjong sets were either purely functional or prohibitively rare. We build the middle ground — considered, colour-led sets that hold up to serious play.
What We Believe
Every set starts with a mood, not a mould
Before a single tile is cast, each colourway begins as a small mood board — three words that describe how it should feel at the table. Aqua Blue is airy and calm. Celestial Wine is opulent and mystical. That discipline is why no two colourways in the collection feel interchangeable.
From there, we work with acrylic and melamine manufacturers to hold tight tolerances on tile size and weight, because a mahjong set is judged the moment it's picked up — the click of the tiles, the way a rack holds its row.
How We Work
From mood board to your mahjong table
Colour & concept
Every collection — Belle Epoque, Zen Forest, Celestial — begins as a named mood, sketched before it's ever tiled.
Material & tolerance
We choose between acrylic and melamine per collection and hold tile size to within a millimetre across the full set.
Complete the set
Racks, dice, wind indicators, chips and a pouch — nothing is sold half-finished. What you unbox is what you play with.
Pack & ship
Every order is packed in Pune and shipped across India, from a first family set to a club's full table order.
Who We Build For
Family tables, clubs, and collectors
Some of our sets go to a first-time family game night. Others go to mahjong clubs that play weekly and need tiles that hold up to it. And a few — like the Premium Shell Collection — go to collectors who want a set worth displaying between games.
Building a mahjong club?
We put together multi-set orders for clubs and events — racks, mats and matching pouches included.
